Save Coastal Wildlife Nonprofit is excited to announce our Polar Bear Plunge in the wonderful seaside town of Sea Bright, NJ.
The event takes place on

Registration begins at 10:00am on the boardwalk in front of the Sea Bright Beach Pavillion.
The plunge into the Atlantic Ocean is at 12 noon.
We will meet on the beach in front of the Sea Bright Beach Pavilion.

Registration Fees:
$50.00 to get the official Save Coastal Wildlife Polar Bear Plunge Sweatshirt (sure to be a collector’s item) and swag bag filled with coastal wildlife stickers, magnets, and other fun coastal goods.
$25.00 for registration only to help support Save Coastal Wildlife.
Every penny we raise supports the mission of Save Coastal Wildlife to restore, and conduct community research and education to protect biodiversity and coastal wildlife along the Jersey Shore!

The Save Coastal Wildlife Polar Bear Plunge is a festive way to kick off the New Year!

Stay warm and cozy by visiting local businesses and our sponsors in Sea Bright.
NOON SHARP:
Plunge - Get wet in the icy cold waters of the mighty Atlantic Ocean from Sea Bright, NJ.
Get in, get wet, and get out! There are no prizes for the length of time spent in the ocean!
Be Sure to Bring a Blanket, Towel and a Change of Clothes.
12:15 PM - 1:00 PM:
Dry off and warm up by visiting our sponsors and local businesses in Sea Bright.
Sweatshirt and retail sales, and sweatshirt pickup will continue until 1:00 PM while supplies last. Weather permitting.
Full registration fee is $50.00 per person, and includes a commemorative sweatshirt and a swag bag filled with Save Coastal Wildlife stickers and other goods.
Pre- Registration closes on December 12, 2025.
$25.00 for registration only to support Save Coastal Wildlife Nonprofit.
Late fee is $75 per person on the morning of the event. Commemorative sweatshirt and swag bag available while supplies last.
Late registration is available (for both $25 & $75 fees) to 11:45am on the day of the polar bear plunge.

Things to Know.
Who should NOT participate?
People with high blood pressure, heart conditions, or other chronic cardiac issues should not plunge, as the cold can cause a sudden increase in heart rate and blood pressure.
Should I drink alcohol? No. Do not drink alcohol before the event, as it does not warm you up and can accelerate hypothermia.
How long should I stay in the water? Do not stay in the water for more than a few seconds or minutes to minimize the risk of hypothermia.
What should I wear? A bathing suit of course, silly.
Costumes are encouraged!!!!!
What should I bring?
Towel.
A bag to store your vehicle keys while you are in the water.
A hat to stay warm.
A bag for wet clothes.
Dry change of clothes.
Warm clothes to put on after the plunge
